Andrew Tate’s house arrest in Romania has been revoked.

Andrew Tate, a controversial influencer, has been released from home arrest in Romania pending his trial on rape and human trafficking accusations.

Andrew and his brother Tristan were detained and prosecuted in March. They dispute the allegations.

The couple is free to wander throughout Bucharest and the adjacent Ilfov area where they live.

They must report to police when summoned and notify them of any address changes.

They are also prohibited from communicating with the two Romanian associates charged alongside them, the witnesses, or the alleged victims or their families.

If they violate these regulations, they may be subjected to house arrest or preventative detention.

A judge will monitor compliance with the terms for the following 60 days.

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Romanian judicial system for their fair consideration,” the brothers’ spokeswoman said in a statement following the judgment.

“This positive outcome gives us hope that more positive developments are on the way.”

Tate, a Muslim convert, also tweeted in response to the ruling, denouncing allegations that were “based on nothing” and were found “weak and circumstantial” by a court.

Andrew Tate is a self-professed sexist.
The brothers were detained in December at their home and placed under house arrest three months later.

According to the accusation, they and two female Romanian colleagues created an organized criminal group in 2021 to commit people trafficking in Romania as well as other countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom.

It cites seven claimed victims, alleging that the Tate brothers lured them in with false promises of love and marriage.

Tate, a British-American former kickboxer, was kicked off the British TV show Big Brother in 2016 after a video surfaced showing him allegedly assaulting a woman.

He went on to become well-known online, with Twitter banning him for stating that women should “bear some responsibility” for being sexually attacked. He was later reinstated.
