Ion Izagirre strolled to victory on stage 12 of the Tour de France, ending a seven-year drought.

Victory for the 34-year-old Spaniard came 11 days after Victor Lafay won the Cofidis team’s first stage win in 15 years.

In a race for second, Mathieu Burgaudeau edged out Matteo Jorgenson.

Jonas Vingegaard kept his 17-second lead in the chase for the overall yellow jersey.
