The final cause of death for Julian Sands, the Room with a View actor, is unknown.

The View from the Room The star’s body was discovered in June, months after he went missing while trekking in California’s San Gabriel Mountains.

Due to the condition of Sands’ body, the cause of death could not be confirmed, and no other variables were discovered during the coroner’s inquiry.

The finding was “common when dealing with cases of this type,” according to police in San Bernardino County.

Human remains discovered in the Mount Baldy area last month were verified to be those of the actor, who went missing on a trek in January at the age of 65.

His brother, Nick Sands, of Gargrave, North Yorkshire, said the tributes have been “overwhelming,” and that he will “grieve and celebrate” his brother’s loss and life in “equal measure.”

Sands was best known for his parts in the Academy Award-winning picture A Room With A View and the television dramas 24 and Smallville.

His other credits include The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), in which he co-starred with Daniel Craig.

He vanished on January 13th due to inclement weather. As California was hammered by catastrophic storms, icy weather, and the potential of avalanches, air and ground searches were impeded.
