The first day of Wimbledon 2023 will feature Djokovic, Swiatek, and Williams.

Djokovic plays Pedro Cachin of Argentina at 13:30 BST. He is trying to win his eighth men’s title at Wimbledon, which would tie the record.

Nick Kyrgios, who was the runner-up last year, has pulled out of the tournament because he hurt his wrist.

Iga Swiatek, who is ranked number one in the world, will play Zhu Lin of China in the first match on Court One at 13:00 BST.

Seventh-seeded Coco Gauff, who lost in the semi-finals at Eastbourne on Friday, will play fellow American and former Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin in the last match on Court One.

After Djokovic on Centre Court, there will be a very interesting match between five-time winner Venus Williams and 2019 semi-finalist Elina Svitolina. Williams, who is 43 years old, is playing in the women’s singles at Wimbledon for the 24th time, and Svitolina is in the final four this year.

Men’s eighth seed Jannik Sinner will play Juan Manuel Cerundolo of Argentina to end the day’s play on Center.

On the first day, six British players are playing singles matches. Dan Evans and Katie Swan are playing their first-round matches on Court Two.
